Brass Antlers is my brand design and digital design portfolio. I develop brands by creating names, logos and engaging digital platforms. My creations are designed to stand out - I believe in the power of creative thinking and beautiful visuals to influence and grow business credibility and income.
As they say, no one starts out in business to be small, so if you use your brand to fit in, you’ll waste your marketing budget trying to stand out. Your organisation should stand out by default so that your marketing money is spent on reach.
My design process is one of elimination – I exhaustively come up with as many viable ideas as possible then systematically work through them to distil the remainders into the best possible design... A design that stands out.

Originally hailing from Sydney, I've been self-employed as a freelance design consultant ever since completing a bachelor's degree course (in Visual Communication) in 2004, and then completing a master's degree course in 2007 (Digital Media). I eventually made the move to Victoria in 2009.
I consider myself very lucky to be living and working in the best city in the world and I draw a lot of inspiration and energy from the design culture here in Melbourne.
I specialise in logo design, branding, user experience & interface design, website design and illustration. I possess the ability to think creatively as well as the skill to translate my thoughts in to professional visuals. I'm also very interested in the technical side of my craft, making sure to continuously develop my digital skills in code and website styling, as well as in the traditional graphic design realms of printing, drawing, typography and even photography.
Recently, I've taken up a full-time role with World Vision Australia working on exciting digital projects for iconic events such as the 40 Hour Famine.
This name came about as a metaphor for what I do. They’re common words, easy to remember, spell and they conjure up pretty strong images, consistently, person to person.
Your brand needs to be like a prominent pair, worn proudly and visibly… They need to be bold, brassy and should be used to get noticed in amongst your competitors - to stand out.
